Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

CapyBreath (“CapyBreath”, “we”, “us”) is a breathing and relaxation app developed by Ashi Thành. This policy explains what information the app uses, where it is kept and the choices you have. If you have any questions, please contact us.

2. Information stored on your device

To show your progress and remember your preferences, CapyBreath saves the following information only in the app’s private storage on your device. It is never uploaded to us or to any third party.

Preferences: sound, haptics, reduced animation, volume levels, favourite exercises and reminder times	To keep the app set up the way you like it.

This information is protected by your device’s own security (such as your passcode and iOS data protection). If you use an iCloud or device backup, it may be included in that backup under Apple’s terms; we cannot access it.

3. Information we do not collect

• We do not require or offer an account, and we never ask for your email address, phone number or password.
• We do not collect your location, contacts, photos, health records or device identifiers.
• We do not use your microphone or camera. Voice guidance and breathing sounds are played, not recorded.
• We do not use advertising, analytics, crash-reporting or tracking services, and we do not track you across other apps or websites.
• We do not sell, rent or share personal information with anyone.

4. Device permissions

Notifications (optional)

If you turn on daily reminders, CapyBreath asks for permission to send notifications. Reminders are scheduled locally by your iPhone at the times you choose; no server is involved. You can change the times in Settings, or turn reminders off at any time in the app or in iOS Settings.

Sound and haptics

The app plays ambient and breathing sounds and uses gentle vibrations during sessions. These features do not collect any information and can be switched off in Settings.

5. Sharing your progress

You can choose to create a share card showing a session or your breathing journey. The image is generated on your device and passed to the standard iOS share sheet only when you tap Share. Anything you then send is handled by the app or service you choose (for example Messages or Instagram) under its own privacy policy. “Copy Link” only places a short text message on your clipboard.

6. In-app purchases

If CapyBreath offers optional purchases or subscriptions, they are processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. We never receive your name, Apple ID or payment details — only Apple’s confirmation, on your device, that a purchase is active.

7. This website

This website is a simple informational site. It does not use cookies, analytics or tracking scripts, and it has no forms that collect personal data. Text is displayed with the Nunito typeface loaded from Google Fonts, which means your browser connects to Google’s servers to download the font; Google may process your IP address for this purpose as described in the Google Privacy Policy. Our hosting provider may keep standard server logs (such as IP address and pages requested) for security and reliability.

8. Data retention & deletion

Your data stays on your device for as long as the app is installed. Because we do not hold a copy, deleting CapyBreath from your device permanently erases all of its data, and we cannot recover it. Data inside a device or iCloud backup is removed when that backup is deleted.

9. Children’s privacy

CapyBreath is designed for a general audience and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your country). Because all data remains on the device, no child’s information is ever sent to us. If you believe a child has contacted us by email, please let us know and we will delete that correspondence.

10. Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR in the EU/UK or the CCPA in California), you may have rights to access, correct, delete or restrict the use of your personal data. Since CapyBreath does not collect or store your data on our systems, you can exercise these rights directly on your device: review your history in the app, and delete the app to erase everything. If you email us, we will use your message only to reply, and delete it on request.

11. Health information

CapyBreath is a wellness tool and is not a medical device. It does not diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease, and the mood check-ins are personal notes rather than medical data. Some exercises include breath holds; if you feel dizzy, light-headed or uncomfortable, stop and breathe normally. If you are pregnant or have a respiratory, heart or other medical condition, please consult a healthcare professional before practising.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the app evolves — for example, if we add a feature that works differently from what is described here. We will post the new version on this page with an updated effective date, and we will explain any significant changes in the app’s release notes before they take effect.
